In a bowl add the Dal and soak for 5 hours then drain & wash thoroughly
Now heat the oil add mustard and cumin seeds allow it to splutter them.
Then add chopped Curry leaves, hing , Ginger garlic paste stir for few and add chopped onions saute well. until they turns translucent.
After add chopped tomato and cook for few minutes. They becomes soft and mushy.
Next add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin & coriander powder, garam masala salt mix well.
Now add drained, and rinsed arhar dal and add needed water stir well.
Cover and cook for until the dal 98% cooked.
Lastly add chopped coriander leaves and saute well with all ingredients.
Now enjoy side dish for chapati or rice.
